Municipal Liquid Waste Management
Rayner AAM has identified pioneering technology that will enable:
- the recovery of sewage sludge to be used as feedstock for the MSW to Energy process;
- further process the liquid waste streams to produce usable (non-potable) water for industrial and other applications; and
Of particular interest in the treatment of municipal sewerage waste is:
- the removal of phosphates – fats, oils, greases and choliforms;
- the removal of metals such as iron, manganese, silicates;
- water/oil separation; and
- the destruction of bacteria and viruses.
Rayner AAM proposes to establish a demonstration facility that will accept raw sewage or other liquid streams and to treat the liquid wastes for use in industrial applications and other non-potable water use applications.
